O’Hara and Friends Salon

O’Hara and Friends Salon

Owner Cathy O’Hara has been a stylist and cosmetology instructor for 30+years, 7 of which spent as a Pivot Point International instructor. O’Hara and Friends Salon was opened on April 1,2013 (a Paul Mitchell Signature salon) and since the opening, Cathy has added 6 very talented stylist to her team.

O’Hara and Friends is more than a just a salon; it has become an education center and is very involved in helping the community. The salon this year has raised funds for 3 well know charities: St. Baldricks, Autism Speaks, and Breast Cancer Awareness (this year the proceeds are going to LCM cancer center). The shop has also held Cut-A-Thons for local people in need. Teaching the young stylists about  using their profession to give back has been very fulfilling for Cathy and the salon staff.

The salon offers fun activities like:

  • Girls night out – a night of education which explains why professional products are better than store bought products and an explanation of different types of hair brushes and what style can be created with each.
  • A night for moms to learn how to braid and create a couple simple updos.
