Palos Heights Car Classic Rolls Into Town

The Palos Heights Car Classic will be rolling into town on July 19, 2012.

Starting at 5pm, hundreds of classic cars will be lined up and down Harlem Avenue, starting at 123rd and Harlem down through 125th.

Tickets to win a 1976 Corvette or $15,000 cash are sold at City Hall and Tastee Freez. Tickets are $20.00 or 6 for $100. Free Event Admission!

Children’s Farm Opens for the Season

The Children’s Farm located at 1700 Southwest Highway in Palos Park.  The farm will be open every Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. until November.

Visitors to the farm can tour the barns and see the farm animals.  New piglets, lambs, bunnies, chicks and ducklings are due to arrive before Easter.  Complimentary pony rides and hayrides are offered every weekend throughout the spring and summer, weather and work permitting.

Admission is $5 per person or $75 for a season family pass.  No reservations are required on the weekends.

City of Palos Heights Municipal Vehicle Program

Chamber Members and Residents!  Do you have clients, patrons or relatives who needed assistance getting around town?  The Municipal Vehicle Program is available and provided by The City of Palos Heights and Trinity Christian College.  Rides from home to a business, the library, village apartments, recreation center and more are available Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 10am-6pm.  For more information, call 708-361-1807 or check out the city’s website at www.palosheights.org.
