A Message from the Chamber President

Hello Chamber Members!

Well 2012 is off to a great start!  We have some new director’s on our board and we also have a new committee!  It seems fitting to announce it now, as we have just celebrated Earth Day.  Gareth Blakesly from Lake Katherine has created the Green Committee that will focus on education and encouragement of environmentally conscious practices and activities.    If anyone is interested in volunteering for this committee please email me (arichards@regionalpublishing.com) or contact Nickie at the chamber.

I’d like to thank everyone for coming out to our April luncheon at Shepard where we learned about all the classes offered to students to ready them for careers in our organizations.  It was a wonderful time and thank you Principal Barron for hosting us again this year.

Please make sure to mark your calendars for our upcoming Health and Community Expo on May 5 at Moraine Valley Church.  There are less than 10 spots left for people who would like to have a booth at the Expo so act fast.

Also remember to attend our annual Golf Outing that will be held on June 7 at Water’s Edge Golf course.  I look forward to seeing all of you there!
